Musée du Louvre
In 2008 the first collaboration agreement was signed between ”la Caixa” Foundation and the Musée du Louvre with the aim of organising joint exhibitions.
In 2012 this collaboration was renewed with a second agreement valid until 2016, according to which the CaixaForum centres will host exhibitions organised by the ”la Caixa” Foundation with items from the Musée du Louvre and other sources.
MACBA Foundation
”la Caixa” Foundation and the MACBA Foundation collaborate closely since 2010. Both institutions have more than 4,500 works of art which are displayed in exhibitions co-produced by both institutions. The collaboration agreement also establishes the aim to complementary in procurement policy and work together in the areas of research and promotion related to contemporary art.
Museo del Prado
The collaboration with the Prado Museum began in July 2009 when we started up the joint ”la Caixa” Foundation - Prado Museum educational programme, The Art of Educating.
In 2011 the ”la Caixa” Foundation became a benefactor of the Prado Museum and it was agreed to organise and produce four exhibitions using works from the museum.
These exhibitions will be held both at the CaixaForum centres and also at other venues in Spain from 2012 to 2019.
The Fundació Joan Miró
In 2012 the ”la Caixa” Foundation and the Fundació Joan Miró signed an agreement to jointly organise the next Joan Miró Awards and subsequently hold an exhibition of the winning artist's work, both at the Joan Miró Foundation and also at a second venue national and international.
But our collaboration goes much further than this and includes other projects, especially the organisation of an exhibition dedicated exclusively to Joan Miró and other initiatives that aim to educate and influence society.
British Museum
The British Museum and the ”la Caixa” Foundation signed an agreement in 2015.
The agreement between these two institutions involves the production of 4 exhibitions, based on items in the British Museum collections that will travel throughout the network of CaixaForum centres up to 2020.
This strategic alliance between the two institutions also aims to optimise the didactic nature of the resulting programme.
